HOW IT WORKS
Scoring rules
ShipRank uses the GitHub Events API to calculate your score from public activity. Every action earns points; the more impactful the contribution, the more you earn.
Each contribution
Every contribution on GitHub's graph — commits, PRs opened, issues, and reviews — earns 3 points
Score periods
Weekly
Events from the last 7 days
Monthly
Events from the last 30 days
Yearly
Events from the last 365 days
Streaks
A streak counts consecutive days where you made at least one contribution. Each day resets at midnight UTC — you have 24 hours to keep it alive. If you miss a day your streak resets to 0. Streaks are shown on your public profile and affect your leaderboard visibility.
Scores are calculated from public GitHub events only. Private repos and private activity are never accessed or counted. Data is synced hourly.
